We’re Going to Greece!

We bought our flights 8 months ago. We hadn’t even finished planning our upcoming trip tp Europe when we took the chance to buy flights on the cheap ($600 a person). But for some reason, planning the trip has been difficult, but not because it’s hard, just because I’m distracted by all of our other trips.

We are spending almost two weeks across Athens, Santorini & Naxos. We don’t really have specifics once we get to the cities but with 2 weeks before our trip we at least have our hotels booked and most transportation.

When searching online for “Best 48 hours in Naxos” or “3 Days in Santorini!” there is not that much online. I’m a researcher. I love see options and reading trip reviews, and I think that is why I’ve been a little distant from planning this trip. But guess what, I can help fix the issue of nothing being online!

Not that long ago I was able to figure out a new strategy to help blog and research while on vacation. “But you are on vacation! Leave your technology at home Tia!” Well, I’ve learned that if I don’t do it in the moment, I’m less likely to do it. This is why I want to be able to document our trip in the moment, or closer to the moment. Plus we have 35+ hours of trains and ferries, perfect time to be productive on a blog or even Etsy!

That being said, I’m very excited for some relaxation. I tried finding hotels that were near the beaches and had balconies, because I love sitting on a balcony drinking a glass of wine and doing nothing. I get to spend some time with my husband right around our two-year wedding anniversary while in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I’m curious on how much we end up trying to visit or see while in the cities, but the only thing I plan on bringing with us is just maps and transportation downloaded prior to leaving the states!

Plus we get to visit a few more airport lounges!! Helps when I panic that we are not already at our gate an hour before a flight…
